WELCOME TO BRAUX SA!
Congratulations! By joining Braux SA, you are becoming part of a company that combines family tradition, technical expertise, and respect for nature. You are the protagonist of your own professional journey within our company.
For over two centuries, Guillaume Braux's family has cultivated the art of landscaping from father to son without interruption. This family transmission testifies to a tradition based on values that guide Braux SA today:
- Technical excellence: each intervention is carefully considered
- Respect for human relationships: clients, collaborators, partners
- Local roots: knowledge of the Geneva region and its specificities
- Continuous improvement: progress to remain competitive
Guillaume Braux, director of Braux SA, humbly perpetuates this legacy today. A direct heir to this lineage of landscapers, he embodies the founding values: tradition, know-how, professionalism, and respect for the environment.
At Braux SA, every day is an opportunity to create, beautify, and preserve the green spaces that are the pride of Geneva. Your expertise, commitment, and seriousness will directly contribute to the success of our common mission: creating quality spaces together.
This welcome booklet is your guide for a successful integration and lasting professional fulfillment. It will accompany you in your first steps and become a reference throughout your journey with us.
The values that unite us
Uncompromising quality
Faced with a demanding clientele, we place well-done work at the heart of each of our interventions. This requirement is our pride and our difference.
Respect for nature
We are the guardians of Geneva's green spaces. Our environmental responsibility guides all our decisions and practices.
Team spirit
The success of Braux SA relies on the solidarity, mutual aid, and complementarity of all its employees. Together, we are stronger.
Continuous improvement
Every day brings its share of learning. We encourage the training and development of each individual.
Our mission — To Create Beauty
Our mission goes beyond simple landscape service provision. We create spaces that enhance our clients' living environment and enrich Geneva's landscape heritage.
Every day, we shape green spaces, protect the environment, and proudly represent our company and our profession. This collective mission unites us. It ensures the company's development and preserves everyone's employment. Striving to exceed our clients' expectations, contributing to a more beautiful and sustainable environment... When practiced with passion and rigor, this profession offers a rewarding and meaningful work experience.
As a member of our team, you must contribute to this noble mission through your daily work. Every action counts; we must never let our guard down.
Your onboarding journey
To welcome you in the best conditions, an onboarding process is in place to help you settle in comfortably. During your first few weeks, an experienced colleague will support you on a daily basis. Their role will be to help you integrate and adhere to the internal regulations and quality standards that have earned our company its reputation.
YOUR SAFETY, OUR ABSOLUTE PRIORITY
Safety culture — Protecting every team member
At Braux SA, safety is not just a regulatory constraint — it is an attitude, a culture, a responsibility shared by all. Every action, every decision, every intervention must be considered with absolute respect for your physical integrity and that of everyone around us.
Management is committed to providing all necessary PPE, fully funding your safety training, maintaining all tools and vehicles in perfect condition, scrupulously respecting all Swiss regulations, and continuously improving our prevention practices.
Your safety vigilance protects your colleagues, subcontractors, our clients, and neighbors/the public. Safety is everyone's business. It is up to each individual to detect dangerous situations, manage risks intelligently, take the necessary measures to avoid an accident, and consult immediately with management in case of danger.
Your rights: report without risk, propose improvements, refuse a clearly dangerous task, be trained before any new mission.
Our regulatory commitments
At Braux SA, we scrupulously comply with all Swiss occupational safety regulations. Our company meets the requirements of the SECO directive, the Labour Act (LTr), and the LAConst, as well as SUVA standards specific to the landscaping sector. Inspections by the OCIRT (Cantonal Office for Labour Inspection and Relations) regularly confirm our compliance.
These regulations are not mere administrative constraints—they form the framework that protects your health and safety daily. We adhere to them rigorously because protecting you is our top priority.
Your safety training: your professional passport
In the Swiss landscaping sector, certain training courses are not optional—they are your professional passport. Braux SA fully finances these courses and supports you in obtaining them:
Certiphyto: This mandatory certification allows you to handle plant protection products safely. The training teaches you to protect your health, the environment, and to use reasoned application techniques. We finance your initial training and its renewal every 5 years.
BLS-AED-CPR (First Aid): In case of an emergency on a construction site, your actions can save a life. This certified training gives you essential skills: cardiopulmonary resuscitation, use of a defibrillator, choking management. We strongly recommend this 4-hour training, renewable every 2 years.
Machine and Equipment Training: The safe operation of our equipment requires specific permits and certifications. We will help you obtain the required machine operator certificates and ensure your continuous training according to technical developments.
Each training is an investment in your safety and your professional future. They are all financed by the company.
Protective equipment (PPE)

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
Collective responsibility
At Braux SA, safety, compliance, and quality are the collective responsibility of the entire team, from employee to director. A single weak link can compromise the whole.
- THE EMPLOYEE : report any abnormal situation, suggest improvements, ask for support without fear.
- THE TEAM LEADER : actively question and verify, anticipate problems, validate and support the team.
- THE MANAGEMENT : provide the necessary resources, support field teams, define common guidelines.
Braux Standards — Our technical excellence
In the Geneva environment, quality work is not an option but a necessity. Our clients are demanding, and this demand has become our strength. Every Braux SA intervention must meet a dual criterion : technical excellence (compliance with best practices, durability, functionality) and aesthetic excellence (perfect finishes, visual harmony, attention to detail).
Whether we are planting a flower bed, laying paving stones, or trimming a hedge, we apply the same principles of professional rigor. Our standards cover all aspects of our trade: plant cultivation and care, hardscaping and landscape construction, and above all, the finishing touches that build our reputation.
Each Braux SA employee is trained in self-quality control: continuous verification during execution, final inspection before leaving the site, and immediate correction of any detected flaws. Our managers also conduct regular checks to ensure that our standards are met on all sites.
Before the intervention
Meticulous preparation, site protection, client communication.
During the intervention
Careful execution, absolute respect for property, professional discretion (controlled conversations, no music, politeness).
After the intervention
Flawless finishing, quality control, departure communication.
Ecological innovation: our commitment to tomorrow
As landscape professionals, we have a special responsibility toward the environment we shape. Our ecological commitment guides our daily practices:
Promote biodiversity : We favor native plants adapted to the local climate, create biological corridors to connect natural spaces, and develop refuge areas for beneficial wildlife. This approach enriches the gardens we create while protecting the Geneva ecosystem.
Responsible water management : We install water-saving irrigation systems (drip), encourage rainwater harvesting, select low-consumption plants, and use mulch to reduce evaporation. Every drop of water counts.
We are interested in your ideas : You who work on the ground every day, you observe, you experiment, you have ideas. We actively encourage your proposals to improve our ecological efficiency. New techniques, innovative materials, process optimizations — your field experience is invaluable. Your ideas are valued and rewarded.
Client relations
As a Braux SA employee, you represent the company. Your behavior directly contributes to our reputation.
- Arrival on site : courteous announcement, professional presentation, explanation of the schedule, answering questions.
- Everyday professionalism : politeness and respect, absolute discretion, visible efficiency, responsiveness to client requests.

Tools, vehicles and equipment
Everyone is responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of the tools and vehicles they use. Any intervention must be planned or triggered as quickly as possible in consultation with management.
- Mandatory daily checks : visual inspection, technical checks, safety test before use. Items to check: vehicles (oil, coolant, windshield washer fluid, brakes, tires), machinery (fuel, oil, lubrication, filters), power tools (cables, protection), hand tools (cutting edge condition, handle).

- Regulatory compliance: Required permits and certifications are mandatory. It is imperative to have the required permits on Swiss territory. Otherwise, management must be notified. Severe sanctions will be taken against anyone who fails to comply with this fundamental clause.
YOUR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Training and skills development
Braux SA considers that investing in human skills is important for our success. We are committed to providing and promoting continuous training.
- Mandatory and regulatory training: detailed in the previous section (Certiphyto, BLS-AED, MSST, machine permits), fully financed by Braux SA.
- Specialized technical training: plant expertise, hardscape techniques, operation and maintenance.
Each training path is tailored to your current level, your responsibilities, your aspirations, and operational needs.
Your career development prospects at Braux SA
Braux SA does not make promises regarding possible career advancement within the company. However, your professional development is important to us, and we strive to take your aspirations into account as best as possible, integrating them with site constraints and recognizing everyone's merit.
Possible career paths
Although we do not make promises, we can identify typical paths that have materialized for deserving employees:
Specialized technical advancement: You can become a plant expert (specializing in plants and their maintenance), a hardscape expert (mastery of landscape construction), or an equipment manager (expertise in machinery fleet maintenance).
Managerial advancement : Employees with the necessary skills can progress to team leader roles (supervising a small team) or foreman roles (coordinating multiple teams).
What really matters: your merit
Your promotion opportunities are assessed according to concrete criteria: the consistent quality of your work, your productivity and efficiency, your team spirit and contribution to the atmosphere, your punctuality and reliability, and your ability to anticipate problems and propose solutions.
These advancements remain subject to our operational constraints (construction site schedules, required specializations, team sizes) and external factors (company growth, market developments). Despite these constraints, concrete opportunities exist for deserving employees: expert training, advanced certifications, increased responsibilities, and salary recognition.
Regular evaluations
Performance is regularly evaluated according to objective criteria. Our system is designed not to judge but to support your progression.
- Periods : 30-day evaluation (first integration review), 90-day evaluation (probation period validation), annual evaluations (comprehensive review and projection).
- Detailed criteria : technical excellence, operational efficiency, teamwork and communication, reliability and commitment.
Following each evaluation, a personalized support plan is established: highlighting strengths, targeted training on areas for improvement, progressive objectives, regular follow-up.
Mentoring and support
At Braux SA, excellence is passed on through human support. Upon your arrival, an experienced colleague will accompany you to guide you in your integration and skills development. This mentor will be your technical reference, your source of practical advice, and your support in difficult moments.
Mentoring is a two-way exchange: you bring a fresh perspective, relevant questions, and energy. Your mentor shares their experience and know-how. Beyond individual mentoring, we encourage cross-learning among colleagues: internal technical sessions, on-site shadowing, and multi-skill projects.
After several years, high-performing employees can become mentors in turn, thus perpetuating our tradition of knowledge transfer.
TEAM LIFE AND PRACTICAL ORGANIZATION
Team spirit, our collective strength
At Braux SA, the quality of human relationships is what makes us different. Team spirit is not just a concept — it is a daily reality experienced on every job site, in every interaction, in every moment of solidarity.
This spirit rests on three pillars: active solidarity (spontaneous technical mutual aid, support through difficulties, natural collaboration, benevolent transmission), listening and mutual respect (your ideas are valued, your experiences enrich the team, differences are respected), and common goals (shared pride in successes, collective responsibility in the face of challenges, continuous improvement, mutual recognition).
As a new employee, you have a role to play from your very first days: introduce yourself authentically, ask questions, offer your help, share your experiences. As you integrate, actively participate in team discussions, contribute to collective solutions, pass on your skills in turn, and celebrate common successes with sincerity.
Even in the best teams, tensions can arise. Our approach first prioritizes direct and benevolent dialogue between the people concerned. If the conflict persists, management intervenes for neutral and fair mediation, with the objective of collective learning.
Your work matters
We know that recognition is a driver of motivation and professional pride. On a daily basis, we value your work through regular positive feedback, spontaneous compliments, highlighting your technical progress, and attention paid to your personal initiatives.
We celebrate project successes together (quality construction sites, overcome challenges, successful innovations, won-over clients) and personal milestones (end of trial period, work anniversaries, obtained certifications, successful evolutions).
Our recognition system also includes regular evaluations based on objective criteria, merit-based salary adjustments, individual bonuses ("you give → we give"), and benefits in kind (quality equipment, funded training, equipment packages).
Your work-life balance
At Braux SA, we are convinced that an employee fulfilled in their personal life is a high-performing employee in their professional life. We respect your personal time: no excessive requests outside of working hours, exceptional contacts justified only, weekends and vacations preserved.
We show flexibility in case of family needs: understanding in the face of unforeseen family emergencies, possible adaptation for important moments, consideration of your personal constraints in the organization of work, open dialogue on your specific needs.
Our approach to absences is caring: easy and non-judgmental reporting, simple and confidential justification process, team support for personal difficulties, and adapted reintegration after a prolonged absence. We create a healthy work environment with priority safety, quality equipment, ongoing training, and recognition of your contributions.
